CEMDS spearheads GAD-related webinars

A two-day webinar series on Gender and Development was conducted for faculty members of the College of Economics, Management and Development Studies (CEMDS) on December 7 and 8, 2020 via Zoom. It was participated by 28 female and 3 male faculty members of the college.

Day 1 was dedicated to Gender Sensitivity Training for new faculty members which also served as a refresher for others. Ms. Thea Maries P. Perez, the college GAD coordinator, discussed basic GAD elements including the provisions of Republic Act 7877 or the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995.

Meanwhile, Day 2 was devoted to the discussion of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) to educate the faculty members in the use of HGDG in the preparation for research proposals, extension activities, and accomplishment reports. Mr. King David Agreda, GAD Coordinator of Cavite City Campus, served as the resource person. (TMPerez)
