ISO 9001:2015 surveillance visit awaits CvSU

After almost a year of acquiring ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification from AJA Registrars, CvSU now awaits the surveillance visit scheduled on October 7, 2019.

Series of meetings was conducted in August to complete the Audit Findings Reports (AFRs) and Correction and Corrective Action Reports (CCARs), evaluate internal auditors and discuss plans for improvement.

The CvSU Quality Manual was approved thru BOR Res. No. 42, s. 2018 covering the quality procedures on document control, records control, internal quality audit, and corrective action. It can be recalled that Stage 1 Audit was conducted on September 11 and 12, 2018 with two auditors and three findings.  While Stage 2 Audit was conducted on October 9 and 10, 2018 with six auditors and four minor findings.

Comparing the internal quality audit conducted from May 21 to June 4, 2018 and May 14 to 16, 2019, the number of non-conformities (NCs) had significantly declined from 79 in 2018 to 26 in 2019. On the number of CCARs, it also had a significant decrease from 66 in 2018 to only 15 in 2019.

To date, more than 200 hours of training courses, workshops, and technical guidance have been conducted. Meanwhile, 122 operational procedures were approved on management processes, core processes, and support processes.

QMS aims to increase an organization’s awareness of its duties and commitment in fulfilling the needs and expectations of its customers and interested parties, and in achieving satisfaction with its products and services.
